Catholic Diocese announces new clergy assignments effective May through July

The Catholic Diocese has announced a series of clergy assignments effective from May to July 2025. Reverend Jason Fox will assume the role of Parochial Vicar at St. Brigid of Kildare Parish in Dublin starting May 16, 2025.

Reverend Msgr. Frank Lane, who currently serves as Administrator for Sacred Heart Parish and St. John the Baptist Parish in Columbus, will retire on July 8, 2025. He will continue his duties as Spiritual Guardian of Priests.

Reverend Timothy Lynch is set to become Pastor at St. Mary Parish in German Village on July 8, 2025. This follows his tenure as Parochial Vicar at St. Brigid of Kildare Parish.

Reverend Vincent Nguyen will transition from his position as Pastor at St. Mary Parish to lead both Sacred Heart Parish and St. John the Baptist Parish in Columbus beginning July 8, 2025.

Reverend Elias I. Udeh, who was incardinated into the Diocese of Columbus earlier this year on February 19, will move from his role as Parochial Vicar at Sts. Peter and Joan of Arc Parish to serve at St. John Neumann Parish in Sunbury starting July 8, 2025. He will also continue as Chaplain for the Nigerian Catholic Community.

Reverend Nicola Ventura is appointed Director of Sacred Liturgy and Professor and Formator at the Pontifical College Josephinum effective July 1, following his graduate studies at Sant’Anselmo in Rome.

Deacon Stephen Petrill will transfer his diaconal ministry from St. Brigid Parish in Dublin to the Newman Center at The Ohio State University while continuing as Director for the Permanent Diaconate for the Diocese of Columbus starting July 8, 2025.
