The Reverend Mr. Peter Nho V. Nguyen is set to be ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez, D.D., of Philadelphia. The ordination ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.
Deacon Nguyen, who hails from Saint Maria Goretti Parish in Hatfield and was born in Vietnam, is one of seven children from a devout Catholic family. He will celebrate his First Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Hatfield.
Reverend John C. Nguyen, Pastor of Saint Maria Goretti Parish in Hatfield, will participate in the Mass and deliver the homily.

The Ordination Class of 2025 for the Church of Philadelphia includes five men. After their ordination, most will be assigned to serve as parochial vicars within archdiocesan parishes.

Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary has been preparing men for priestly service since its founding in 1832 and currently enrolls 139 seminarians. It relocated to Lower Gwynedd Township in 2024 to enhance its formation programs with modern facilities.
