The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, along with the Shrine of Saint Katharine Drexel, is set to host its annual Keys and Sword Gala. This event serves as the main fundraising initiative for these religious institutions within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Logan Philadelphia Hotel, the gala will feature cocktails, dinner, music, and fellowship. It aims to foster financial support for addressing extraordinary needs at both the Cathedral Basilica and the Cathedral Parish. Funds raised will contribute to improvement projects at the Cathedral Basilica and benefit various ministries within the parish.

Individuals interested in supporting this cause can purchase sponsorships or ad space in the program book through https://ksphila.org/sponsor and https://ksphila.org/program-book respectively. Guests attending are encouraged to wear black-tie attire but it is optional. Complimentary parking will be available at the Cathedral.

The Keys and Sword Gala also honors Catholics who have shown exceptional dedication to the Church and Gospel. Historically, a Keys and Sword Award was presented by the Cathedral Parish to individuals recognized for their commitment to these values. Notable past recipients include Monsignor James J. Howard, former Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, Dr. Rosalie Mirenda of Neumann University, Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity community, and Robert Sims from the archdiocese.

Further details about this year's gala can be found at https://ksphila.org/.
