Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is set to host its 45th Annual Academic Honors Convocation, an event that will recognize the achievements of 125 distinguished scholars from Catholic secondary schools in the region. Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will preside over the Liturgy of the Word before the convocation, which will take place on May 20, 2025, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.
These students are being honored for their academic excellence and dedication, having ranked in the top 3% of their senior class by the end of their first semester. The convocation will be streamed live from @Archbishop Perez and @AOPSschools.
Students marked with asterisks are part of the Connelly Foundation’s Neumann Scholars Program. This initiative began in 1995 and awards scholarships to academically talented eighth graders through a competitive examination, allowing them to attend any Archdiocesan high school.
Among those being recognized are students from various schools such as Academy of Notre Dame de Namur High School, Archbishop John Carroll High School, Archbishop Ryan High School, and many others across the five-county Philadelphia area.
The event highlights not only individual student achievement but also reflects on educational excellence within Catholic institutions throughout Philadelphia.
