The Reverend Mr. Edward G. Town is set to be ordained as a priest by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez on May 17, 2025. The ceremony will take place at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia at 10:00 a.m.
Edward G. Town, originally from Havertown and a member of Saint Denis Parish, pursued studies in economics and political science at Florida State University before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. He has two older sisters and a twin brother.
Following his ordination, Father Town will celebrate his First Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving on May 18, 2025, at Saint Denis Catholic Church in Havertown. Reverend Shaun L. Mahoney will concelebrate the Mass and deliver the homily.

The Ordination Class of 2025 for the Church of Philadelphia consists of five men who will likely be assigned as parochial vicars after their ordination.
