Father Dave Pivonka, TOR '89 President | Franciscan University website
Franciscan University President Father Dave Pivonka, TOR, is set to lead a global prayer initiative on the Hallow app during the upcoming papal conclave. The event will commence on May 6, one day before the conclave begins in the Sistine Chapel.
Father Pivonka will collaborate with Sirius XM host Katie Prejean McGrady twice daily on the Hallow app. Together, they aim to guide listeners through each day's events of this significant occasion. McGrady will provide insights into the conclave proceedings while Father Pivonka leads prayers seeking divine guidance for the cardinal electors as they make their crucial decision.
The prayer series will continue throughout the conclave's duration, offering updates before and after each day's voting sessions. It will conclude with a special prayer for the newly selected pope on the day following his election.
As of May 2, over 64,000 individuals have joined a waiting list to participate in this prayer support via Hallow. Founded by Alex Jones in 2018, Hallow is recognized as the leading Catholic app for prayer and meditation worldwide. It offers various spiritual resources including Scripture reflections, guided prayers, Mass readings, homilies, music, and other devotions like Father Pivonka’s "Daily Holy Spirit" and "Francis of Assisi in Seven Days" programs.
