Today, the American Principles Project (APP) and a group of conservative leaders urged Senate Republicans to confirm Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education. They emphasized her qualifications and past experience in education and government roles, stating that her leadership is needed to address issues attributed to previous Democratic policies.

The letter from APP highlights concerns about the Department of Education under the Biden-Harris administration. It claims, "The Biden-Harris administration has used the Department of Education not to educate America’s children — who are steadily falling behind — but instead to push their radical cultural agenda on America’s kids and to punish anyone who dares stand in their way."

Further criticisms include allegations against the administration's actions in higher education. The letter states, "The Department’s abuse in the higher education sector is just as rampant, where the Biden administration decided to wage war against Christian universities, career colleges, and trade schools."

The signatories express confidence in McMahon's potential impact if confirmed: "We are confident that once confirmed to the position, she will end the Department’s weaponization towards certain colleges, promote education choice, and bring back common sense."

The full text of the letter can be accessed for more details.
