Christian Brothers University has announced the recipients of its 2025 Distinguished Alumni Awards, recognizing graduates who have demonstrated professional achievement and a commitment to service in line with the university’s Lasallian mission.

This year, Harry Pratt (Class of 1974) has been named Distinguished Alumnus, while Chelsea Chandler (Class of 2009) receives the Distinguished Young Alumna Award. The awards will be presented during CBU’s Alumni Weekend on September 19 and 20.

“These Distinguished Alumni remind us that a CBU education is about more than earning a degree; it’s about building a life of purpose,” said CBU Interim President Brother Chris. “They have shared their talents with humility and excellence. We are proud to call them members of our CBU family and to honor their accomplishments.”

Harry Pratt has spent five decades at Allen & Hoshall, where he currently serves as President and CEO. He is licensed as a professional civil engineer in six states and has led projects ranging from local infrastructure improvements to major airport developments. Under his leadership, the firm operates nine offices across three states with over 100 employees.

Pratt was recently recognized as Kiwanian of the Year 2025 by Kiwanis Memphis for his community service. He also serves as Vice President of the Downtown Memphis chapter of Kiwanis International, where he leads handicap ramp construction projects, and is President of the Front Street Townhomes Association. Pratt participates in advisory boards at both CBU’s Gadomski School of Engineering and the University of Memphis’ Herff College of Engineering.

A lifelong resident of Memphis, Pratt earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Christian Brothers University before completing graduate degrees at the University of Memphis. In addition to his work as an adjunct professor, he serves on boards such as the National Society of Professional Engineers and the American Consulting Engineers Council.

Chelsea Chandler is known in Memphis for her work as a meteorologist, reporter, and anchor over nearly 15 years. She was recently named anchor for Good Morning Memphis on FOX13 at 4:30 a.m., after previously covering traffic reports and ESPN sideline coverage for the Memphis Tigers.

Chandler has received several regional honors including Best TV Weatherperson, Best TV Reporter, Best TV Personality, and Best Female Anchor. Her volunteer efforts focus on mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and support for organizations like the American Cancer Society—work recognized by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee with the Colonel Aide de Camp award.

She graduated from Christian Brothers University with a degree in psychology before studying meteorology at Penn State University and geosciences at Mississippi State University. Chandler was crowned Miss Tennessee in 2012 and has since used her public platform to raise funds for charitable causes such as raising over $160,000 for YMCA programs through Dancing with the Stars Memphis.

The annual awards highlight alumni whose careers reflect CBU’s values around learning and service to others.
