Megan Fast Alumni at Benedictine University | LinkedIn

Megan Fast, a 2022 graduate of Benedictine University, is currently pursuing a PhD in Physical Chemistry at Texas A&M University. She completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Physics.

Fast said her experiences at Benedictine University were key to her academic development. She noted that small class sizes and supportive faculty provided personalized guidance as she considered internships and graduate school options.

At Texas A&M, Fast works in a laboratory focused on photodissociation dynamics, contributing to research in atmospheric chemistry. She has presented her work at an international conference and received the Texas A&M HEEP Fellowship, which recognizes students for academic performance, research ability, potential, and leadership.

She also said that Benedictine University’s Hallmarks—especially community, discipline, and hospitality—continue to influence her daily life.
