The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has reported that its Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) raised more than $8 million in 2024, according to the organization’s annual report released today. The fundraising campaign received $8,795,846 from 37,111 gifts.
The CCA supports over 100 charitable ministries and programs serving people across the five-county metropolitan area. These initiatives reach one in five residents in the region. Ministries supported by the CCA include areas such as special education, social services, evangelization, mission parishes, and care for infirm and retired priests.
According to the Archdiocese, “The 2024 Appeal raised $8,795,846 from 37,111 gifts, supporting and sustaining over 100 vital charitable ministries and programs that serve one in five people across our region. These ministries provide real hope to individuals and families in need, reflecting God’s love through compassionate service to others.”
The annual report also highlights events and initiatives that contributed to this year’s fundraising total. It includes testimonials from individuals who have benefited from these services and recognizes parishes raising more than $100,000 as well as donors contributing between $2,500 and over $50,000 annually.
“The Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) is the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s single most important fundraiser, benefiting hundreds of thousands of people through numerous organizations and ministries in the Archdiocese. Each year, CCA helps to ensure the vitality of Catholic ministries throughout the five-county Archdiocese. CCA beneficiaries are grouped into five areas of ministries including Special Education; Social Services; Evangelization; Mission Parishes; and Infirm and Retired Priests,” a statement from the Archdiocese said.
This year’s campaign was administered by The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia.
