Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Curran, affiliated with St. Martin of Tours Church in Flaherty, Kentucky, marked their 50th wedding anniversary on May 24. The couple retired in 2020 after running Curran’s Value Mart in Garrett, Kentucky for 45 years and have seven children.
Bill and Judy Dunavent Graham, members of Immaculate Conception Church in La Grange, Kentucky, are set to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on June 15. Mrs. Graham concluded a 43-year career at Kemba Credit Union while Mr. Graham retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 37 years. They have two children and three grandchildren.
Allan and Joan Glass Ware will observe their 70th wedding anniversary on June 18 as members of Holy Trinity Church. They plan to commemorate the occasion with a Mass and reception at Holy Trinity on June 14. The couple has five children (two deceased), along with 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Richard and Margie Riggs Waflart from St. Michael Church will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on June 16 with a small backyard gathering for family and friends. Mr. Waflart is retired from Inland Container while Mrs. Waflart retired from JCPS; they have two children and two grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Peter III of St. John Paul II Church will mark their 60th wedding anniversary on June 14. Mrs. Peter worked for the Commonwealth of Kentucky for over three decades, while Mr. Peter served as an investment advisor for more than half a century before retiring; they have two sons and six granddaughters.
Celebrating their milestone anniversaries this month are also Mr. and Mrs. Dave Elder of St. Aloysius Church in Pewee Valley, Kentucky, who will reach their 65th year together on June 18; William (Bill) and Karen Logsdon Varga from the same church will celebrate their 30th anniversary on June 17; Perry and Marvell Cambron Mattingly celebrated their golden jubilee on June 7 at St Augustine Church in Lebanon, Kentucky; Ron and Kathy McGill Kleinhelter from St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church will celebrate half a century together on June 20.
