Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. Bishop | Archdiocese of Louisville

St. Mary Academy, located at 11311 Saint Mary Lane in Prospect, Kentucky, has been recognized as a "Model Professional Learning Community" by Solution Tree, a national professional learning organization. The announcement was made on June 2.

The recognition is awarded to schools that have successfully implemented Professional Learning Community (PLC) concepts for at least three years and can show evidence of improved student learning outcomes. This information was confirmed in an official letter from Dr. Trevor Timmerberg, the principal of St. Mary Academy.

St. Mary Academy is now the second school within the archdiocese to earn this distinction. Previously, St. Martha School at 2825 Klondike Lane received the same status in 2024.
