Rev. James D. Conley, D.D., S.T.L. | Diocese of Lincoln website
A holy hour dedicated to praying for priests is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the John XXIII Diocesan Center chapel in Lincoln. The event, titled “In the Upper Room,” is organized by Magnificat and the Seven Sisters Apostolate. It will feature Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with Father Robert Barnhill, spiritual advisor of Magnificat, presiding over the ceremony. Mothers of priests will lead the rosary.
The gathering will include meditations from “The Priest is not his Own” by Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen and allow time for silent personal prayer. Music during the event will be provided by Simple Faith.
Attendees will have access to materials focused on prayer for priests available for purchase from Gloria Deo, as well as free resources from Magnificat, the Seven Sisters Apostolate, and other organizations.
Magnificat serves as a ministry for Catholic women within the Lincoln Diocese. Its mission is to encourage Christian women to become more receptive to the Holy Spirit through deeper life commitments to Jesus and to share this spirit through love, service, and spreading salvation's good news.
