Reverend Bruce Reginald Hoefer, OP, has been appointed as Parochial Vicar of the S-13 Family of Parishes, which includes St. Gertrude in Cincinnati. This appointment is effective from May 15, 2025.
Reverend Bryan Reif will take on the role of temporary Parochial Administrator for the SW-5 Family of Parishes, encompassing St. Ann in Groesbeck, St. Bernard in Taylor Creek, St. James the Greater in White Oak, and St. Margaret Mary in North College Hill. His new responsibilities will begin on July 1, 2025.
Reverend W. Robert Hale is set to serve as Parochial Vicar for the NE-2 Family of Parishes that include several locations: St. Bernard and St. Joseph in Springfield; St. Charles Borromeo in South Charleston; and both St. Raphael and St. Teresa of the Child Jesus also located in Springfield.
In another move within the church community, Reverend Stephen Jones has been named Parochial Vicar for S-9 Family of Parishes covering areas such as St. Cecilia in Cincinnati and St. Mary in Hyde Park.
The position of Chaplain/Director at Wright State University's Catholic Campus Ministry will be filled by Reverend Jarred Kohn.
Reverend Kevin A. LeMelle will join NE-1 Family of Parishes as a Parochial Vicar at locations including Russells Point's St. Mary of the Woods; Bellefontaine's St. Patrick; and Urbana's own Saint Mary.
For SE-2 Family of Parishes covering Holy Trinity Church in West Union along with Greenfield’s Saint Benignus Church plus others located across Hillsboro and Peebles communities - it’ll see both leadership roles being filled soon enough! Reverend Adam M Lewis takes charge there while Pastor duties go onto none other than Mr K Scott Morgan himself!

Several retirements from active ministry have been announced effective July 1st next year (2025). These include Reverends James Duell (NW6), Gerard Hiland(SW1), David Lemkuhl(S6), Michael Holloran(NE3) along with Michael Paraniuk(SE2) Kenneth Schartz(S9) Jeffrey Silver(C6) lastly Larry Tharp(C4).
