The 20th annual Cross the Bridge for Life event is set to take place on Sunday, June 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Riverboat Row in Newport, Kentucky. The event celebrates human life and draws thousands of participants from both sides of the Ohio River.

The festival will feature free t-shirts, hot dogs, Knights of Columbus Holy Donuts, face painting, balloon twisting, and live music by Lee Roessler band. The program begins at 2 p.m., with the American Heritage Girls reciting the Pledge of Allegiance followed by remarks from Archbishop Robert Casey of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and Bishop John Iffert of the Diocese of Covington. Chris Adams from Star 93.3 will serve as emcee.

Bagpipers from the Ancient Order of Hibernians and an American Heritage Girls color guard will lead walkers over the Purple People Bridge across the Ohio River—a highlight of the day's activities.

Organized by over 25 area pro-life organizations that support mothers, children, and families, more information can be found at www.CrossTheBridgeForLife.org. The Diocese of Covington and Archdiocese of Cincinnati are proud sponsors.

Archbishop Casey represents a diocese with over 90,000 Catholics across multiple parishes and schools. Meanwhile, Bishop Iffert's archdiocese includes nearly 440,000 Catholics with one of the largest Catholic school systems in terms of enrollment in the country.

Changes due to weather conditions will be updated on their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/CTBforLife/.
