The Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies is set to launch a series of five new classes starting February 17. These courses vary in length and offer different modes of attendance, including in-person, live online, and recorded video options.

One of the courses, "The New Testament Letters and Revelation," will be conducted on Monday evenings from February 17 through May 12. Joshua Burks will lead this course which delves into God's instructions for the Church, covering the Letters of St. Paul through to the dramatic conclusion in Revelation. This course can also be taken for transfer credit towards graduate programs at both the University of Mary and the Augustine Institute.

On Tuesday evenings from February 18 to May 13, Chad Steiner will teach "The Nicene Creed: What Christians Believe and Why It Matters." Coinciding with the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, this class examines each article of the Creed to enhance understanding during Mass.

"Elementary Biblical Greek II," a continuation from Greek I taught by Dr. Vern Steiner, is scheduled for Wednesday evenings between February 19 and May 14. This course requires prior completion or special permission from the instructor and is available only in person.

Dr. John Kincaid will present "Theology of the Body" on Thursday evenings from February 20 through May 1. Offered as a free ten-week course online or via recorded video, it focuses on Pope St. John Paul II’s teachings about human sexuality rooted in Sacred Scripture.

Lastly, "Laughing with God: Humor in the Bible" will be held on Thursday evenings from February 20 to March 27 by Dr. Vern Steiner. This six-week course aims to reveal various types of humor found within biblical texts.
