The evening of July 2 saw more than 1,000 people gather at St. Joseph Parish in Ost for Adoration Under the Stars. The event featured a large stone crucifix and a radiant monstrance shaped like Our Lady of Grace, courtesy of the Adoratio Foundation. The foundation's president, Andrew Niewald, explained that their mission is to increase devotion to adoration in parishes.
Austin Lager’s Lager Audio Visual Services provided sound and lighting for the first time, enhancing the atmosphere with symbolic colors. Attendees enjoyed a hot dog dinner, live music by J. Michael and Enkindle Worship, and a small ministry fair before adoration began.
Christopher Rowden led the music with a focus on devotional songs aimed at fostering relationships with Jesus. He praised Austin Lager's efforts in organizing the event.
Fr. Bernard Gorges presided over the gathering, greeting participants and leading adoration while numerous priests heard confessions throughout the evening. Fr. Gorges emphasized his hope to deepen Eucharistic focus among attendees.
Andrew Vishnefske, an attendee since his teenage years, appreciated the community aspect of the event. Fr. Gorges noted a revival among youth attending to worship and adore.
Jillian Lange reported on this event as a parishioner at St. John’s Clonmel and co-founder of Wholly Surrender.
