Archbishop Nelson Perez of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia recently took to Twitter to share exciting news about The AbbeyFest, which is an event taking place on September 16 in Paoli, Penn. According to a release on The AbbeyFest website, this is a family friendly faith-based event that is an experience suitable for all ages to participate and enjoy.

"I am thrilled to announce that AbbeyFest is back for 2023," said Archbishop Perez in a video message posted to his Twitter. "Pencil in September 16 on your calendar for the region's premier celebration of faith, music, and family, at Daylesford Abbey in Paoli. This year's headliners include Matthew West, five-time Grammy nominee, and Riley Clemmons, whose work has been featured on 512 million global streams. Her music has racked up an astounding 84 million views on YouTube alone."

In his Twitter post, Archbishop Perez added: 

"Join me for @TheAbbeyFest" Faith & Music Festival 2023 at @DaylesfordAbbey on September 16th.  I look forward to seeing you there!"

AbbeyFest will showcase an impressive lineup of performers that includes Village Lights, 7eventh Time Down, Gus deSimone, Obb, Sara Groves, and many others. The event will also feature renowned speakers like Curtis Martin, the founder of FOCUS and Oscar Rivera, Bill Donaghy, and Johnathan Roumie, who is known for his portrayal of Jesus in the series "The Chosen," among others. 

The grounds will be turned into a festival atmosphere complete with food trucks, games for children and priests that will hold confession as well as prayer and healing. The website says it is an "engaging atmosphere" for youth and families to embrace their faith.

Archbishop Perez will preside over a large Mass during the afternoon, and will close the festival with a candlelight adoration, the website stated. Children, teenagers, and youth groups are strongly encouraged to attend and be part of the experience in faith. All proceeds from the event are reinvested in AbbeyFest to ensure its continuation in the coming years.
