The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry will mark the 40th African American Catholic History Celebration with a prayer service on November 30 at St. Monica Church in Bardstown, Kentucky. The event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre is set to preside over the service, with Father Brandon DeToma, pastor of St. Monica, assisting. This year’s theme is “Enduring the Faith.”

“This gathering remains a powerful reminder of the critical role African American Catholics have played — and continue to play — in enriching the life of the Church,” stated a release from the Office of Multicultural Ministry.
