Catholic Community Services (CCS), a ministry of Catholic Charities of Philadelphia, will hold an event on November 20 to recognize National Adoption Month and highlight its adoption services. The gathering will take place at CCS’s location on Grant Avenue in Philadelphia from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The event will feature personal stories from families who have experienced adoption through CCS, as well as reflections from the community. Over 60 people are expected to attend, including clients who have used adoption services, staff members, and leadership from Catholic Charities of Philadelphia.
Attendees will also view “A Place to Belong,” a short documentary that showcases the impact of CCS’s adoption services.
CCS operates as Community Umbrella Agency #4 for the Philadelphia Department of Human Services (DHS), serving dependent children and families in Northeast Philadelphia. The organization provides community engagement, prevention programs, and case management services under the guidance of the Youth Services Division of Catholic Charities.
