Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre | Archdiocese of Louisville
At the annual teacher appreciation luncheon organized by the Office of Catholic Schools on October 30, Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre addressed educators and highlighted how their work in Catholic education impacts not only students but also the teachers themselves.
“Hopefully we, too, are changed by this ministry. … Jesus Christ also ministers to us through that ministry that we offer to others,” said Archbishop Fabre.
After the luncheon, The Record asked teachers how their own lives had been transformed by Jesus as they worked to shape the lives of their students.
During the event, 174 educators were recognized for reaching milestone years of service within Catholic schools.
