Benedictine University alum Teresa Conyers named chief nursing officer at UPMC North Central Pennsylvania

Teresa Conyers, a graduate of Benedictine University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership program, has been appointed Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at UPMC North Central Pennsylvania. Her appointment became effective on October 20.

Dr. Conyers brings over two decades of nursing leadership experience to her new role. She was part of the first cohort to complete Benedictine University’s DNP in Executive Leadership. Prior to joining UPMC, she served as Associate Chief Nursing Officer at The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati, where she managed operations for a 555-bed hospital and several outpatient facilities.

Her career has focused on improving patient outcomes, increasing workforce engagement, and developing new care models. Dr. Conyers is also recognized for her presentations on nursing excellence and her commitment to fostering supportive work environments.
