A surgery resident at the University of Toledo Medical Center has had his medical license suspended by the Ohio Medical Board after being accused of forcing abortion drugs on his girlfriend. The board found “clear and convincing evidence” that the resident poses an immediate danger. Reports state that he obtained abortion drugs online using his estranged wife’s personal information, paid for them with his own credit card, and administered them to his girlfriend against her will.
The woman reportedly did not want an abortion, but the man allegedly held her down in the middle of the night and forced her to ingest crushed abortion drugs. She later experienced severe bleeding, lost her child, and required hospitalization.
The incident comes amid ongoing debate about mail-order access to abortion medication under a Biden administration policy. Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America has called on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to reverse its rule permitting mail-order distribution of these drugs.
Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, released a statement:
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is a network of more than one million pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
