Several clergy members in the Diocese of Columbus will begin new assignments this August. Reverend Michael Hinterschied, from the Congregation of the Oratory of St. Philip Neri in Cincinnati, has been appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Bernadette Parish in Lancaster, effective September 1, 2025.

Reverend Daniel Moloney, who currently serves as Assistant Chaplain at St. Thomas More Newman Center at The Ohio State University, will join the faculty at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati starting August 11, 2025.

Additionally, Reverend Sebastian Lopez Ortega, CR—recently ordained and appointed by the Provincial of the Theatine Fathers in the United States—will serve as Parochial Vicar for both St. Joseph Parish in Dover and Holy Trinity Parish in Zoar. He will also assist with Campus Ministry at Tuscarawas Central Catholic Schools beginning August 12, 2025.
