Ken Clay, Gallery of Distinguished Graduates | Bellarmine University
Bellarmine University will recognize seven alumni and friends at its annual Knight of Excellence awards dinner, scheduled for September 4 in Knights Hall. The event is designed to acknowledge individuals whose contributions align with the university’s mission to educate students holistically and prepare them for leadership and service.
According to a statement from the university, the awards honor “the enduring impact of individuals whose lives and work reflect Bellarmine’s mission to educate students in mind, body and spirit — preparing them for meaningful lives, rewarding careers, ethical leadership and service to improve the human condition.”
This year’s honorees include Ken Clay, class of 1960, who is known for his leadership in the arts community. Clay founded Legacies Unlimited and previously served as vice president of programming at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. His accolades include the Governor’s Community Arts Award, Louisville Fund for the Arts Lifetime Achievement Award, and recognition as Louisville’s “Hometown Hero” this year.
Gloria Ising, who graduated in 1985, 1987, and 2001, will also be honored. Ising has held senior roles in healthcare management at organizations such as Trilogy Health Services and Northpoint Senior Services. She has worked as a legal nurse consultant for over a decade through GMI & Associates.
Robbie Tindall, a graduate from 2004 and 2012 classes, serves as vice president of health quality at Humana. Tindall has been involved with Bellarmine’s board of overseers for more than twelve years—including time as chair—and participates on nonprofit boards like Family Scholar House. He has previously been recognized as a “40 Under 40” honoree and is a Bingham Fellow.
