Iona University has expanded its student life offerings, now providing over 100 clubs and organizations for students. The university aims to support holistic development—mind, body, and spirit—by offering a range of opportunities for involvement, including the Student Government Association, cultural groups, Greek life, theatre, club sports, and performing arts.
Joel Quintong, dean of students at Iona University, said: “The best way to fully experience an Iona education is to be involved with the life of the University outside of the classroom. Our wide array of clubs and organizations are an excellent way to do that. It's more than simply belonging to something. Through participation in clubs and orgs, students explore their passions, build leadership skills, and have fun with their friends. We are proud of what we have to offer to all students and are confident there is something for everyone."
The Wall Street Journal recently named Iona as one of the top 25 colleges in the United States for student experience in its 2025 rankings (https://www.wsj.com/rankings/college-rankings/best-colleges-2025).
Applications for prospective students open on August 1. The university offers an application fee waiver using code Iona30 on the Common Application.
For current students seeking ways to get involved on campus this fall semester, the Center for Student Engagement will host its annual involvement fair on Thursday, August 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Murphy Green. At this event, students can meet club representatives and learn about upcoming activities.
