Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. Bishop | Archdiocese of Louisville

Twenty educators from the Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic schools are set to retire this summer. This group includes two long-serving teachers who have dedicated four decades or more to education within the archdiocese.

Sandy Maxted, after 46 years of service in local Catholic schools, is retiring from Assumption High School. William Bornschein is also retiring after 40 years at St. Xavier High School.

The Office of Catholic Schools for the archdiocese reported these retirements by their May 30 deadline.
