Popular radio and television host, Dr. Ray Guarendi, is set to embark on a speaking tour across Nebraska in early June. The events are organized by Spirit Catholic Radio and will take place at various locations: St. Agnes Church in Scottsbluff on June 2, St. Patrick Church in North Platte on June 3, St. Michael Church in Hastings on June 4, and Pius X High School in Lincoln on June 5.
Dr. Ray, who has delivered over 3,000 talks nationwide, hosts the radio show “The Dr. Is In,” which airs on more than 500 stations including Spirit Catholic Radio in Nebraska.
In an interview, Dr. Ray mentioned that attendees of his talks can expect to be both informed and entertained: “They will come away with more self-confidence. They will come away knowing that what they instinctively believe has a lot of reality to it,” he stated. He also added that humor plays a significant role in his presentations: “I’ve been called a psychologist-comedian.”
The theme for the Scottsbluff and Lincoln events is “Standing Strong as a Parent and Grandparent.” Dr. Ray aims to address cultural challenges faced by Christians today: “This is no longer a farm in 1880... To stand against this culture, you have to have a steel rod about an inch thick through your spine.”
In North Platte, his talk titled “The Logic of Being Catholic” reflects his personal journey back to the Church after eight years away: “I really wanted to know does this Catholic Church make sense? Is it logical? Is it coherent?”
For Hastings attendees, the presentation will focus on “Men, Women, and Marriage,” where Dr. Ray plans to offer practical advice for improving marital relationships: “There are simple things you can do to dramatically improve a marriage... The problem is, you resist doing them.”
Throughout his career via public talks and radio shows, Dr. Ray has addressed numerous questions from people nationwide regarding faith and family dynamics.
Tickets for each event are priced at $5 or five for $20 with further details available at SpiritCatholicRadio.com/DrRay.
