Joseph J. Foy, Ph.D. President | Benedictine University
Benedictine University recently celebrated its 135th Commencement Ceremony, honoring the achievements of over 1,000 graduates. The ceremonies took place on May 3 in Lisle, Illinois, and May 8 in Mesa, Arizona. Students from undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs participated in the event.
Jazeline Rodriguez was among the notable graduates this year. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and has secured a position as a team clinician for the New York Knicks. This accomplishment highlights the practical impact of Benedictine University's academic offerings.
A special milestone was reached by a group of Doctor of Nursing Practice students. All seven are alumni of Benedictine's MSN program and will complete their final coursework this summer. These students hail from various states including California, Ohio, Texas, and Tennessee but have formed a close-knit professional community focused on advancing their healthcare careers.
The university also celebrated some of its employees who graduated with degrees ranging from graduate-level to doctoral. Their commitment to both work and education reflects Benedictine’s values of scholarship and service.
Additionally, an honorary Doctorate of Human Letters was awarded to Peter Foyo for his significant contributions and dedication to the university's principles of community, service, faith, and excellence.
