Rev. Dennis Marion Schnurr Bishop | Archdiocese of Cincinnati website
Deacon Thomas Miller, a respected member of the Diocese of Wilmington and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, passed away on November 26, 2024. He was 78 years old and had been experiencing declining health.
Ordained on November 18, 2000, for the Diocese of Wilmington in Delaware, Deacon Tom served as a deacon in both Delaware and Pennsylvania before relocating to Dayton in 2016. This move was to be closer to his daughter and her family. In March 2017, Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr granted him faculties for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Deacon Tom then served at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Kettering until Alzheimer's disease prompted him to request senior status in 2021. His service spanned sixteen years across Delaware and Pennsylvania and four years within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
His wife Sallie passed away earlier this year in February after being married to Deacon Tom for 52 years. He is survived by his children Kelly (Thomas), Gregg (Danielle), and Jeffrey; along with grandchildren Andrew, Emily, and Daniel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering, OH. The mass will commence at 11:30 a.m., preceded by an hour-long visitation period. Father Dan Meyer will preside over the ceremony.
