Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has announced its participation in the 2024 #iGiveCatholic campaign, marking the fifth consecutive year of involvement. Partnering with The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia, the Archdiocese aims to continue its fundraising success, having raised over $5.6 million for Catholic entities since 2020.
#iGiveCatholic is recognized as the official Catholic Giving Day and is celebrated annually on #GivingTuesday, which falls on December 3 this year. The Advanced Giving Phase has already begun and will continue until December 2.
Last year's efforts saw significant contributions from the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal, which ranked first and second nationally for funds raised. This year, 152 Catholic entities within a five-county metropolitan area are registered to participate, including all 15 Archdiocesan high schools and three special education schools.
The initiative provides an opportunity for Catholics and supporters to contribute to parishes, schools, and charitable ministries during a season associated with giving. It also allows these organizations to garner support for their missions.
Sponsors include Presenting-Level Sponsors such as The Clark Family, James and Agnes Kim and Family, McCloskey Financial Group; Partner-Level Sponsor Saul Ewing LLP; along with Lead-Level Sponsors Kennedy Printing and Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP. These sponsors offer prize incentives that enable participating organizations to raise additional funds through #iGiveCatholic.
