Benedictine University and the Diocese of Phoenix have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand access to Catholic higher education for students in the region. The agreement guarantees admission to Benedictine University for graduates from six Diocese high schools who meet the university’s admission criteria.

The participating high schools include Bourgade Catholic High School, Notre Dame Preparatory, Saint Mary’s Catholic High School, Xavier College Preparatory, Seton Catholic Preparatory, and St. John Paul II Catholic High School. Eligible students will receive a $2,000 annual Catholic High School Award that is renewable for four years. They may also qualify for merit-based scholarships starting at $9,000 per year and additional awards based on academic performance.

“Benedictine University is proud to partner with the Diocese of Phoenix in this transformative initiative. Together, we’re advancing our shared mission to deliver exceptional Catholic education – making it more accessible, affordable, and values-driven,” said Dr. Joseph J. Foy, President of Benedictine University.

The partnership also includes initiatives such as specialized campus visit programs and college preparation workshops designed to help students prepare for university life. Benedictine University will collaborate with educators from the Diocese to support a smooth transition from high school to college.
