St. Catherine Parish in Indianola is set to host "The Upper Room: Life in the Spirit Retreat" on October 18 and 19. The event will feature sessions on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., continuing Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The retreat will be led by the Disciples of Our Lord Jesus Christ, based in Prayer Town, Texas.

Debbie Dolan, a parishioner, shared her previous experience with a similar seminar conducted by the Disciples in Ogallala. She described it as "a wonderful encounter with our Lord," expressing her hope for others to deepen their relationship with Christ amidst current challenges.

The retreat invites individuals interested in enhancing their spiritual life or seeking a deeper connection with Jesus. It also welcomes those wishing to experience a fuller release of the Holy Spirit's gifts received during Baptism and Confirmation. A registration fee of $15 is payable upon arrival, and free-will offerings will be accepted. Meals for Friday evening and Saturday noon are included, while accommodations are available nearby in McCook and Cambridge.
