Dr. George Delgado, the founder of Abortion Pill Reversal, recently sat down for an interview with Dennis Kellogg from the Southern Nebraska Register to discuss the innovative process of reversing chemical abortions using progesterone. Dr. Delgado explained that the abortion pill works by blocking progesterone, a hormone essential for a healthy pregnancy, leading to the separation of the placenta from the uterus and ultimately killing the preborn baby.

When asked about the effectiveness of the reversal process, Dr. Delgado stated, "The reversal in our studies, with our high-dose oral protocols, was 68-percent effective in reversing chemical abortions."

Describing how he developed the process, Dr. Delgado shared a case where he successfully reversed a chemical abortion, leading to the birth of a baby. He mentioned treating hundreds of women with the reversal process, estimating that over 5,000 babies are alive today because of abortion pill reversal.

Regarding the recent U.S. Supreme Court case involving chemical abortion, Dr. Delgado emphasized the importance of holding the FDA accountable for approving drugs like mifepristone without following proper protocols. He expressed confidence in a favorable ruling from the Supreme Court, stating, "I think good things will come of this, so that the truth will ring loud and clear."

Responding to claims by pharmaceutical companies that mifepristone is safe for the mother, Dr. Delgado referenced a study from Finland showing a higher complication rate for chemical abortions compared to surgical ones. He raised concerns about the promotion of mail-order and telemedicine use of mifepristone, highlighting the risks for women without proper medical supervision.

Reflecting on his work with abortion pill reversal, Dr. Delgado described it as the highlight of his career, emphasizing the satisfaction of saving babies' lives and helping mothers. When asked about his optimism for the future of the pro-life movement, Dr. Delgado expressed confidence, stating, "I am optimistic because we have God on our side."

As discussions and debates around abortion continue, Dr. Delgado remains committed to his work in providing a second chance for women who change their minds after starting a chemical abortion, with the hope of saving both the physical lives of babies and the spiritual lives of mothers.
