Bishop Jorge Rodríguez | Archdiocese of Denver

In a surprising announcement, the Principal of Holy Family High School, whose name has not been disclosed, has resigned from their position, effective immediately. The resignation comes as a result of the principal's need to assist in the care of an ailing parent and to be closer to family on the East Coast.

Expressing their sentiments, the departing Principal stated, "It's with a heavy heart that I am resigning today, effective immediately, to assist in the care of an ailing parent and to be closer to family on the East Coast. These decisions are never easy, and I will look back on my tenure at Holy Family High School fondly. I remain grateful to my colleagues and especially the students who inspired me with their hard work, creativity, and dreams for the future. Go Tigers!"

To ensure a smooth transition, Mary Vulcani, the current dean of students at Holy Family High School, has been appointed as the interim principal. With ten years of experience at the school, Mary is well-equipped to uphold the excellence and mission of Holy Family High School.

Assisting Mary Vulcani in her new role, Mike Gabriel will continue serving as the assistant principal. With his vast experience at Holy Family High School, Mike will provide continuity and oversight of academics and personnel.

Furthermore, Rhonda Lambrecht, the current director of finance, will be supporting Mary Vulcani by assuming the decision-making and authority of school finance.

Looking ahead, a search for the 2024-25 leadership team for Holy Family High School will begin promptly. The school administration is committed to conducting a thorough evaluation of the school's needs before initiating the search process. The goal is to find a suitable candidate to assume the principal position prior to the start of the new school year.

The resignation of the Principal marks a significant change in leadership for Holy Family High School. As the school community bids farewell to their former principal, they can be assured that the interim principal and the existing leadership team will work diligently to maintain the school's high standards and continue providing a nurturing environment for the students.
