In Washington, D.C., Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America announced it will assign a negative score to lawmakers who sign the Democrats’ discharge petition seeking a three-year extension of Obamacare subsidies without including Hyde Amendment protections. The group’s stance follows House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries' recent call for Republican support in extending the subsidies, which critics argue would allow continued taxpayer funding of abortion.

The organization communicated its position in a letter sent to Capitol Hill, stating:

"Pro-abortion Democrats in Congress held the government hostage for over a month in pursuit of continued taxpayer funding of abortion coverage through Obamacare, resulting in the longest government shutdown in American history."

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, commented:
