Pregnancy centers across the United States are at the center of a Supreme Court case, First Choice Women’s Resource Centers, Inc. v. Platkin, which is being heard today. The case focuses on actions taken by New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin against pregnancy centers that do not provide abortion services.

According to the organizations involved, Platkin’s office has tried to obtain private donor information from these centers and has worked with Planned Parenthood to issue a “consumer alert” containing what they describe as false accusations against pregnancy centers.

Since 2022, after the leak of the draft Dobbs decision, nearly 100 pregnancy centers and pro-life groups have experienced attacks and vandalism.

A recent analysis by the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) reports that in 2024, 2,775 pregnancy centers nationwide delivered more than $452 million worth of medical care, support services, education programs, and material goods. These centers reportedly served over one million new clients last year and received a client satisfaction rate of 98%.
