An Infant Prayer Service for families who have lost a child will take place on November 26 at the Holy Innocents Section of Calvary Cemetery, located at 1600 Newburg Road. The service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and is held on the last Wednesday of each month. Those wishing to add a name to the prayer list can call 451-7710.
Calvary Cemetery will also host the “Lighting of the Tree of Remembrance” on December 5 at 6:30 p.m., with gates open until 6:25 p.m. Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre will lead a prayer service before the tree lighting. Free ornaments will be available for personalization and hanging in memory of loved ones, and additional ornaments can be obtained throughout December from the cemetery office.
The Archdiocese of Louisville Ministry Institute is organizing an Advent retreat titled “Poured Into Us” on December 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at St. Gabriel Church, located at 5505 Bardstown Road.
