All women are invited to attend the Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women’s annual convention, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 1, at St. Paul’s Church and Trinity Hall in Highland. Registration and refreshments will be available from 8-9 a.m., with the convention running from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Bishop Thomas John Paprocki.
The theme for this year’s event is “Let Yourself Be Loved.” The keynote speaker is Claire Dwyer, author of This Present Paradise: A Spiritual Journey with St. Elizabeth of the Trinity. The Alton Deanery Council of Catholic Women is hosting the meeting.
