Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly is preparing for its annual Magnificat Celebration Dinner, scheduled for Friday, September 12, at Wilderness Ridge Country Club in Lincoln. The event will feature the theme “Armed with Light,” inspired by Romans 13:12 and emphasizing the importance of living with clarity and conviction.

The evening will begin with a social and cocktail hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and a program at 7 p.m. A panel consisting of Father Christopher Barak, Matt Simmons, and Sarina Stokes will provide guidance on maintaining faith in contemporary society.

“This dinner is more than a fundraiser,” said Amanda Weeder, marketing coordinator. “It’s a celebration of the spiritual battles being fought and won every day through Christ and a reminder that we are not alone. We are armed with His light.”

Funds raised from the dinner will help support retreats, spiritual formation programs, and hospitality services provided by Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House to thousands each year.

Tickets, tables, and sponsorship options can be found at www.goodcounselretreat.org/dinner or by calling 402-786-2705.
