Bellarmine University sees record diversity and largest class since 2019

Bellarmine University began its Week of Welcome on August 16, as 677 first-year students arrived on campus for move-in day. This marks a 21.7 percent increase in first-year enrollment compared to the previous year and represents the largest incoming class since 2019, according to a university press release.

The new students moved into the Siena Residence Complex and are scheduled to take part in orientation activities through August 20. Classes for all students are set to begin on August 21.

More than half of this year's incoming class are first-generation college students, while over 38 percent identify as students of color, setting a new record for diversity at Bellarmine. Additionally, sixteen percent of the new students are athletes. The cohort comes from 23 states and 12 countries.
