Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary will host the 2025 Cardinals’ Forum on August 26 at its campus in Lower Gwynedd. The event, titled “On Unity in the Church,” will address the potential for unity among Catholics amid ongoing disputes related to liturgy, doctrine, and leadership.

The forum is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 1400 Evans Road, Ambler, PA. Faculty members from the seminary will present their perspectives on the topic and invite participation from attendees. Admission is free and open to the public. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be available via https://vimeo.com/event/234747 and https://www.facebook.com/StCharlesSem.

Brendan Towell, a journalist with the National Catholic Register, will join faculty members in discussing how differences within the Church can be transformed into communion.

According to organizers, “The annual series was named for the first endowed professorships at the Seminary. Its purpose is to advance the academic formation of Seminary students and provide continuing education for the lay faithful about topics of contemporary concern in the Church.” More information about this year’s forum and an archive of previous events can be found at www.scs.edu/cardinals-forum.

Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary was founded in 1832 and currently enrolls 139 seminarians, making it one of the largest seminaries in the United States. In 2024, it moved to Lower Gwynedd Township, where new facilities offer updated technology and improved services for its formation programs.
