St. Patrick Church, located at 1000 N. Beckley Station Road in Eastwood, has been named the “Best Place of Worship” in the 2025 Louisville Community’s Choice Awards. The annual awards recognize more than 300 businesses and organizations throughout the area based on nominations and votes from community members.

The Louisville Community’s Choice Awards program is described as “your chance to shine a spotlight on the establishments that make the Louisville area stand out,” according to organizers.

Lynne Marshall, director of engagement at St. Patrick, said parishioners nominated the church for this honor. “Our people voted. It’s amazing,” she said. “When you think of the best place to worship, my goodness, that’s the reason we’re here.”

Carrie Williamson, pastoral associate at St. Patrick, commented on life at the parish: “It’s a vibrant life that goes on here. We work hard on the hospitality. We create a variety of experiences during the week, you’re formed and engaged with friends, which nurtures the Sunday experience.”

Marshall noted that Sunday Mass attendance has increased this year at St. Patrick Church. The parish offers Masses at 5 p.m. Saturday and at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Father Loi Pham, associate pastor; Lynne Marshall; Carrie Williamson; and Julie Roth, director of worship; attended an awards gala held July 15 at the Muhammad Ali Center where they received recognition for their achievement.

Established in June 1988 by Archbishop Thomas C. Kelly, St. Patrick currently has 1,763 registered families or individuals according to information from the Archdiocese of Louisville.

Other finalists for Best Place of Worship included Cathedral of the Assumption and Southeast Christian Church.
