My Beloved Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

In a recent letter, Bishop John Noonan reflected on the teachings of Jesus, emphasizing His role in healing and forgiveness. The Bishop highlighted that Jesus teaches us to love as God loves and encourages prayer as a means to praise our Father for His goodness. He reminded the faithful of the importance of receiving the Eucharist, recognizing its divine source.

Bishop Noonan called for self-reflection, urging individuals to confront their weaknesses and understand their limitations. He emphasized that everything we have is due to God's grace and encouraged renewing our relationship with God through prayer, sacrifice, and charity.

The Bishop acknowledged the dignity of every person and urged courage in promoting this dignity. He encouraged believers not to fear when encountering situations contrary to God's call for love but instead see these moments as opportunities for healing.

He stated that Jesus came to save humanity from self-centeredness and isolation, freeing individuals from negativity. Bishop Noonan stressed listening to one's heart to discern God's love and offering mercy and forgiveness.

Pope Leo XIV was quoted during an Angelus on Sts. Peter and Paul’s solemnity: “What appears great and glorious...was originally rejected...Those who follow Jesus must tread the path of the Beatitudes...” The Pope further noted that greatness is shaped by forgiveness, highlighting that even revered Apostles faced errors but were forgiven by Jesus.

Bishop Noonan concluded with a message of hope, praying for the Church to be a home of communion in a wounded world. He emphasized that offering mercy strengthens compassion among people.
