St. John’s University has reached a significant milestone by surpassing 200,000 living alumni. This achievement comes even before the Class of 2025 officially graduated, joining a diverse group of alumni who have made their mark in various fields such as finance, government, law, health sciences, and education.

The university's alumni network spans all 50 states and includes individuals aged between 19 and 112 years old. St. John’s is recognized as a Catholic, Vincentian institution with a global reach. Its alumni reside in 130 countries worldwide, with Taiwan having the highest number of alumni outside the United States at 312.

A substantial portion of St. John’s alumni—116,588—reside in New York State. New Jersey is home to nearly 18,000 alumni, while Florida hosts another 8,360. Internationally, China has 286 St. John’s graduates living there; Italy has 178; and Canada has 125.

The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s boasts nearly 50,000 living alumni—the highest among the university's six Schools and Colleges. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences follows with 42,423 graduates. The Lesley H. and William L. Collins College of Professional Studies counts almost 41,000 living graduates, while The School of Education accounts for 29,096.

The School of Law reports having 18,047 living alumni—slightly more than the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

In its recent commencement ceremony—the university's 155th—St. John’s added another cohort of graduates to its ranks: approximately 2,100 new members joined the alumni community.

Among these new graduates is Tanvir Ahmed who became St. John’s youngest living alumnus at age 19 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

On the other end of the spectrum is Sr. Francis Dominici Piscatella O.P., ’43Ed., ’53G., who at age 112 holds dual distinctions as both the world’s oldest living nun and St. John's oldest alumna according to the Gerontology Research Group.

Juliana Bracco ’24TCB., ’25MBA., one of St John's younger double-degree holders at age 21 expressed her gratitude towards her alma mater: “St John's has given me far more than just undergraduate and graduate degrees—it has given me a strong sense of purpose community confidence to embark on my postgraduate journey," she said adding that "Graduating with an M.B.A at age requires hard work dedication am thankful everyone supported grateful part legacy.”
