Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly is launching an online summer program designed to offer spiritual growth for those with busy schedules. From June 1 to July 31, the retreat house will conduct "Busy Person Retreats," a virtual guided experience aimed at deepening participants' relationship with God without requiring them to leave their daily routines.

The program allows participants to select a three- to eight-day period within the two-month timeframe. During this time, they will engage in a structured daily routine consisting of 30–45 minutes of personal prayer with scripture, 10–15 minutes of journaling, and a 30-minute virtual meeting with a trained spiritual director. The retreat begins with a 40-minute introductory video designed to guide participants as they start their journey.

Inspired by St. Ignatius of Loyola's teachings, the retreat emphasizes that spiritual development can occur amidst everyday life rather than apart from it. The team facilitating the retreats includes experienced directors such as Father Gary Coulter, Matt Simmons, Sarina Stokes, Jo Vasa, and Father Christopher Barak. They will provide one-on-one guidance to help participants discern how God might be influencing their lives.

The cost for participating in the retreat is $60, with financial assistance available if necessary. Participants are also encouraged to give a personal gift or stipend to their spiritual director as an expression of gratitude. For registration or further information, individuals can visit goodcounselretreat.org or call 402-786-2705.
