Today, the American Principles Project (APP) released a report focusing on Planned Parenthood's increasing role as a provider of gender transition services. The report points out that Planned Parenthood has become a major player in sex-change procedures for young adults while receiving over $700 million annually from taxpayer funds. According to APP, this shift includes promoting transgender treatments without sufficient medical oversight or mental health evaluations and advancing gender ideology through comprehensive sex education programs.

The report highlights several findings:

- More clinics under Planned Parenthood now offer gender treatments compared to chemical or surgical abortions.

- An estimated 120,000 transgender services are provided by Planned Parenthood each year.

- Some affiliates reportedly use contraceptives as a means to initiate gender transitions for minors without parental consent.

- A variety of "sex-ed" resources have been developed, including sexually explicit coloring books and Roo, a 24/7 chatbot aimed at children as young as 13, alongside various video series introducing gender ideology to children.

Terry Schilling, President of APP, stated: “Planned Parenthood is no longer merely an abortion giant. They have lately also transformed into a dangerous purveyor of irreversible gender transition procedures, targeting vulnerable young people with minimal safeguards. They are not a healthcare provider; they are a political machine using taxpayer funds to advance a radical agenda that endangers our families.”

Schilling further expressed support for former President Trump and Speaker Johnson for incorporating language to defund Planned Parenthood in the House version of the One Big, Beautiful Bill. He called on the Senate to take decisive action against taxpayer funding for the organization.
