Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
The Cardinal John Foley Symposium is set to host a "town hall" discussion with expert communicators on Thursday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m. The event will be held at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Ambler.
This annual symposium celebrates the World Day of Communications and will focus on Pope Francis's message for this year, themed "Share with gentleness the hope that is in your heart."
Participants in the discussion include Joe Holden, chief investigative reporter for CBS News Philadelphia; Gina Christian, national reporter for Our Sunday Visitor; and Fran Maier, senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. Maier will also be honored with the 2025 Cardinal Foley Award for Excellence in Communications.
The Cardinal Foley Chair of Social Communications at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary organizes this symposium each year to mark World Communications Day and discuss the papal message associated with it.
