Walsh University is in mourning following the death of Pope Francis. The university recently expressed its sorrow, recognizing the Pope's impactful and inspiring life.

"Walsh University joins the Church of our Diocese of Youngstown, and the global community in mourning the passing of Pope Francis." The statement highlighted Pope Francis’s global influence through his service and humility. "Throughout his papacy, Pope Francis inspired the world with his humility, courage, and unwavering commitment to the poor and marginalized."

Pope Francis was known for his dedication to service. The university acknowledged this dedication: "Pope Francis dedicated his life to serving the Lord and the Church with courage, fidelity, and love." They also expressed gratitude for his influence, saying, "We have a deep sense of gratitude for his inspiring example as a true disciple of Christ and commend his soul to the infinite merciful love of God."
