Tonight, President Trump addressed Congress, taking a firm stance against what he described as the transgender industry. He was joined by Payton McNabb, a female athlete injured during a volleyball game with a trans-identifying male player, and January Littlejohn, a mother who opposed her daughter's transition without her consent.
Terry Schilling, President of the American Principles Project (APP), attended the address as Speaker Johnson's special guest. Following Trump's speech, Schilling stated: “The American people gave President Trump a mandate this November – it’s time to bring common sense back to our country. Our children deserve a high-quality education free from the harmful influence of gender ideology, parents have a right to be involved in their children’s education, and female athletes should not have to compete against biological males."
Schilling further commented on Trump's commitment to opposing what he termed "radical ideology," saying: "President Trump’s speech tonight signaled to the far left that the transgender industry’s days are numbered, and his administration will be fighting tooth and nail to protect our women and children against this radical ideology. We are thankful he has taken up this fight and look forward to working together to put an end to the transgender industry once and for all.”
